Checklist for Customers on Roof Installation Day

Preparation:

  1. Clear the Driveway:
    • Park your vehicles on the street to provide access for dump trucks and delivery vehicles.
  2. Remove Fragile or Precious Decorations:
    • Take down delicate garden decorations, hanging plants, and outdoor furniture near the house to avoid damage.
  3. Secure Windows and Doors:
    • Close all windows and doors to minimize dust and debris entering the house during the installation.
  4. Plan for Noise:
    • Expect a significant amount of noise. If possible, arrange to be out of the house or in a quieter part of the home.
  5. Protect Indoor Items:
    • Consider covering items in your attic with drop cloths or plastic sheets to protect them from falling dust or debris.
  6. Will my property be damaged during the installation?:
    • We take every precaution to protect your property, but roof installations can be intensive. Let us know if you have special concerns, and we’ll address them proactively.
  1. Keep Children and Pets Safe:
    • Keep children and pets indoors and away from the work zone for their safety.
  2. Coordinate Access:
    • Let workers know about gates or security systems they need access to.
  3. Hazards:
    • Inform the crew of any potential hazards on your property.

    • Ensure you or a designated contact is reachable in case the crew has any questions or concerns.
  3. Weather:
    • We monitor the weather closely and will only start work when conditions are favorable. If unexpected rain occurs, we will secure your roof with tarps to protect your home.

    • Deactivate any automatic sprinkler systems a day before installation and plan to leave off until the crew is finished, Most roofs take between 1-2 days to complete.
  2. What if I have questions after the installation is complete?:
    • We’re here to help! Contact us anytime if you have concerns, need additional support, or have questions about your roof’s maintenance. Call your salesman or 972-606-0504.
